Villagers’ Adaptation

The locals went on strike when the dam was being built because the NTPC refused to meet their demands for less money. After that, NTPC requested security, and the police were stationed there for one to two months. After all this, an agreement was reached between the two parties and the matter was settled.

My first visit to the valley

My first trip to the koldam valley was when the work began. When I arrived, the roads were still being built. After that, I traveled there with my brother and a friend, beginning our adventure at Bilaspur. I believe the distance between Bilaspur and the Kol valley is about 28 and 30 kilometers. It’s not difficult to get there; the road is fantastic.
The view from here is breathtaking and captivating. The View Point is the location from which people can enjoy the view of the Dam. There’s also the opposite side of the dam from where the water gates were filmed.

It is the most underappreciated attraction in Bilaspur. Locals in Himachal Pradesh are aware of this location, but tourists are unaware. Tourists can visit this location because it is located on the Chandigarh-Manali Highway. The distance from the slaper bridge is 6 kilometers.
